Radio News Anchor

Responsibilities

• Anchor multiple market newscasts
• Cover national, regional, and local breaking news
• Perform typical newsroom duties including phone calls and interviews
• Create engaging news content
• Execute other duties as assigned in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in a busy news environment
• 3+ years of experience anchoring newscasts
• Strong journalistic integrity
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills within established procedures
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Close attention to detail
• Professional manner and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
