Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Digital Beam Forming (DBF), and general I/Q processing
• Implement algorithms in C++ and integrate into distributed simulation environments
• Provide expertise in signal processing, particularly in the processing of radar I/Q data
• Analyze gaps and tradeoffs in existing simulation environments and develop corresponding Courses of Action (COAs)
• Communicate proposed approaches and findings to leadership
• Collaborate in technical discussions for system planning
• Prepare technical reports and conference papers
• Write test procedures for algorithm evaluation and analysis
• Manage code quality through version control, automated software builds, and automated unit testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
• Experience in radar systems development including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation
• Experience creating engineering test plans and working with radar systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
• Proactive continuous learner with public repositories on GitLab or GitHub
• Quality technical writing skills
• Understanding of unit testing in a C++ environment
• Competent understanding of Python
