Radiation Therapy Clinical Educator

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the departmental Radiation Therapy Education Program for qualified therapists and undergraduate students
• Develop, design, and deliver training programs for new techniques, equipment, and treatment modalities
• Assess and identify continuing education needs for staff and learners
• Develop and evaluate patient education programs and learning resources
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous quality improvement programs
• Contribute to staff recruitment, selection, and retention strategies
• Act as a clinical leader and resource within the Radiation Medicine Program

Requirements

• BSc in Radiation Therapy
• Master's degree in Science or Education
• 5 years of experience in radiation therapy practice
• Previous leadership and teaching/coaching experience
• Experience in educational course design
• Certification with CMRITO or eligibility to obtain it
• Membership with CAMRT or eligibility for membership
• Proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in adult education
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and relevant healthcare legislation
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
