About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the delivery of the departmental Radiation Therapy Education Program for qualified therapists and undergraduate students.
- Develop, design, and coordinate training programs related to new techniques, equipment, and treatment modalities.
- Assess and identify continuing education needs for staff and learners to ensure high standards of clinical practice.
- Implement and evaluate patient education programs and learning resources across the organization.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to staff recruitment and retention strategies.
- Act as a clinical leader, role model, and resource within the Radiation Medicine Program.
Requirements
- BSc in Radiation Therapy.
- Completion of a recognized Master's degree in Science or Education.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the area of practice.
- Proven leadership and teaching or coaching experience.
- Experience in the design and development of educational courses.
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
