About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver clinical training and education programs for radiation therapists and undergraduate students
  • Facilitate the departmental RT Education Program within the Radiation Medicine Program (RMP)
  • Develop training related to the implementation of new techniques, equipment, and treatment modalities
  • Assess and identify continuing education needs for RT staff and learners
  • Develop and evaluate patient education programs and learning resources
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to staff recruitment and retention strategies
  • Act as a clinical leader, role model, and resource within the department

Requirements

  • BSc in Radiation Therapy
  • Master's degree in Science or Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the area of practice
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Experience in course design and teaching/coaching
  • Eligibility for CMRITO certification and CAMRT membership
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult education principles
