Radiation Oncologist

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients for radiation therapy based on individual diagnostic findings
• Design, prescribe, and supervise radiation treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition
• Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Monitor and manage patient progress, adapting treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, potential side effects, and supportive care
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
• Engage in research and continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in radiation oncology

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Radiation Oncology
• Valid medical license to practice
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in radiation oncology preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
