About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide radiological support at assigned Laboratory sites
- Conduct workplace surveillance and analyze/interpret radiological data
- Provide operational health physics support in assigned facility, function, or area
- Review radiological work for proper controls and posting compliance
- Assist and mentor employees in radiation monitoring, contamination control, and emergency response
- Interface with emergency personnel or respond directly to radiation-related emergencies
- Work with health physicists to determine re-entry requirements
- Direct other RCTs in monitoring and handling contaminated personnel
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance
- Experience working in high-hazard radiological environments
- Knowledge of radiation protection regulations, including 10CFR835
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
