Radar Research Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Moving Target Indication (MTI) processing and algorithm development
• Provide technical analyses and support in developing advanced methods, theories, and research techniques for R&D and operational support projects
• Conceive, plan, and conduct research in complex technological areas requiring novel approaches and sophisticated techniques
• Make independent decisions on R&D engineering problems and coordinate work planning
• Support algorithm and analytical development using scientific programming languages including C, C++, Python, FORTRAN, and MATLAB
• Provide remote sensing and geospatial expertise to respond to technical requests from DoD and Intelligence Community analysts
• Support ad hoc studies and analysis within an R&D environment

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C, and Python
• Demonstrated experience in advanced techniques, theories, and practices within a radar or signal processing discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Polygraph clearance
• Master's or PhD degree
