Radar Operator-3

Responsibilities

• Operate the ROTHR RADAR system using PC-based platforms to monitor and track surface and air contacts
• Perform ionosphere propagation assessments by manually modeling layers using PC-based resources
• Execute frequency selection by interpreting ionospheric models and assigning proper RADAR parameters
• Monitor and modify RADAR resources to meet tasking parameters and validate aircraft/surface contacts
• Interpret RADAR returns to identify aircraft take-offs and landings
• Monitor and copy external communications relayed over HF radio links
• Interact with Agile Client terminals for pertinent track data and follow technical guidance from supervisors

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
• Minimum of 3 years of RADAR Operations experience
• Proficiency with Windows 10
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of radar experience
• Previous experience monitoring radar tracking displays and HF radio transmissions
• Background in air defense, air traffic control, or Operations Specialist (OS) roles
