About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of up to 10 finance professionals providing end-to-end R&A support, including controlling, accounting, and reporting.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes for the Downstream Business portfolio.
- Act as a key interface for business finance leaders, providing quality insights and resolving reporting issues.
- Ensure the efficiency of R&A processes and the effectiveness of the underlying financial control framework.
- Support the preparation of the annual Business Plan, including operational, economic, and financial KPIs.
- Manage the quarterly latest estimates process and ensure performance is analyzed and explained in management information packs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support global projects, including new systems implementation.
- Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy in line with Group standards.
Requirements
- Accounting qualification with 10+ years of experience in financial reporting.
- University degree in a finance-related discipline.
- Proven experience leading teams or project teams to drive successful outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience working in dynamic or ambiguous environments and managing change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of financial and management reporting and performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CIMA or an MBA.
