R&D Technical Leader

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs to propose tailored technical solutions
• Define and validate technical specifications and general product architecture
• Organize and lead various stages of product design and validation
• Drive modeling, simulation, and sizing activities
• Define validation plans and participate in functional, environmental, and normative testing
• Utilize test results and calculation reports to consolidate design choices and mitigate technical risks
• Provide technical support to internal departments and external customers
• Participate in technical exchanges with clients, suppliers, and partners

Requirements

• Engineering degree or PhD in mechanics, electromechanics, or multiphysics systems
• Proven experience in the development of complex technical products
• Strong knowledge of rotor dynamics, thermal management, or electromagnetism
• Proficiency in simulation and sizing tools
• Familiarity with product development methodologies such as V-cycle and DFMEA
• Professional proficiency in English
• Experience in transversal team management (R&D, purchasing, supply chain) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rotating machinery, electric motors, or magnetic bearings
• Experience with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and validation planning
