R & D Solution Architect – Digital Clinical Development Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design and implementation of all digital solutions for clinical operations, ensuring alignment with global architecture strategy and governance standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and clinical experts to translate functional requirements into robust technical solution designs.
• Create and maintain current and target-state architecture roadmaps aligned with business needs and Sanofi's digital strategy.
• Streamline existing architecture by delivering reusable services and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Establish strategic direction for the clinical development domain, including technology selection and standard setting.
• Evaluate product usefulness and cost during the supplier selection process.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure complete, operable solutions that align with complex business processes.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Solution Architecture.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
• Proven experience with GxP, HIPAA, and GDPR regulations, ensuring compliance within IT solution designs.
• Strong knowledge of Clinical domain workflows and processes.
• Proficiency with technical stacks including Snowflake, GitHub, IICS, Python, Openshift, ReactJS, SQL, AWS, or Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in vendor relationship management and working within global/multi-cultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of existing IT technologies, data types, and ontologies within an R&D environment.
• Experience with Lean and Agile practices.
• Strong background in application design, integration, and DevOps.
