R&D Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific and technical R&D for oligonucleotide processes, focusing on enzymatic ligation technology
• Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments using chemical/biochemical process and analytical instruments
• Plan and execute the development of downstream processes, including ultrafiltration, diafiltration, and chromatography
• Analyze and report technical data, presenting summaries in business settings
• Act as a liaison between the laboratory and manufacturing plant to facilitate technology transfer
• Maintain process compliance by adhering to SOPs and cGMP standards

Requirements

• Master's Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or a related science discipline
• 5 years of post-Masters experience in pharmaceutical process R&D
• Deep knowledge of enzymatic manipulation of DNA/RNA and biocatalysts

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. with two years of industrial experience
• Experience in oligonucleotide process R&D, specifically with enzymatic ligation and downstream purification
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical summaries to business stakeholders
