R&D Reliability/Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage system, subsystem, and component level validation test plans
• Perform hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems and field failures
• Design, build, and implement automated testing equipment for subsystem characterization and reliability testing
• Collaborate with R&D design teams to perform risk assessments and influence design for reliability
• Analyze field failure data to identify trends and develop actionable corrective action plans

Requirements

• Expertise with complex electromechanical systems
• Experience testing a wide range of sensors, actuators, and mechanical components
• Proven ability to develop and execute system test plans within fast-paced timelines
• Ability to prototype tests using hardware and software implementation in Python
• Strong data analysis skills to distill complex results into actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux systems and scripting in various languages
• Experience with SQL for data analysis
• Prior experience with field failure analysis or quality engineering roles
