R&D Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and evaluation of implantable MEMS-based sensor systems, components, and test methods
• Develop and execute engineering studies to characterize sensor performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Build, modify, and troubleshoot laboratory setups, prototypes, and measurement systems
• Analyze experimental data to identify trends and failure modes, communicating conclusions through technical reports
• Draft and execute test protocols, verification plans, and design documentation in compliance with quality-system requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on component development and technical issue resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Microelectronics, or a related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated hands-on experience developing, testing, or characterizing engineering systems and devices
• Strong ability to analyze technical data and communicate results clearly
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced R&D environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering, MEMS, microelectronics, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in Python and experience with data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, or Matplotlib
• Experience with MEMS sensors, implantable medical devices, or microelectronics packaging
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW, automation, or data acquisition tools
• Experience with statistical analysis tools like JMP or Minitab
• Familiarity with electrical characterization, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
