R&D Internship in Cheese & Dairy Department

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments at both lab-scale and pilot-scale to support dairy technology and cream cheese production processes
• Perform sample analysis, including chemical, physical, and sensory testing, and interpret results to support project decisions
• Collaborate with technical experts to learn the fundamentals of R&D project management
• Ensure technical precision and adherence to working methods, technical guidelines, and safety procedures
• Create detailed research reports and presentations to communicate findings
• Support the development of measurement techniques as well as laboratory and pilot plant equipment

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Basic experience working with food processing equipment in a production or pilot plant environment
• Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong interest in process engineering, data processing, and software applications
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and a proactive, curious mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of dairy processing, separation processes, and edible proteins
