R&D Engineer - Agentic AI

Responsibilities

• Design and operate agent-based AI/ML systems to automate and optimize multi-physics TCAD modeling workflows
• Build closed-loop workflows connecting AI-driven generation with execution, validation, and systematic learning
• Integrate simulation and execution backends through secure, well-typed tool interfaces for HPC and containerized runtimes
• Establish feedback loops to collect logs, metrics, and numerical data for iterative model improvement
• Collaborate with physics, TCAD, and software experts to translate physical objectives into automated modeling workflows

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
• 3+ years of experience developing large, complex engineering applications
• Proficiency in Python and modern C++, including experience with scientific codebases
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems (planning, tool use, memory, and self-improvement loops)
• Experience designing, fine-tuning, and deploying domain-adapted LLMs
• Experience building end-to-end RAG systems (ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and evaluation)
• Ability to design and implement MCP servers or equivalent secure AI-tool interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scientific/engineering simulation or HPC execution
• Knowledge of container runtimes or NVIDIA Omniverse/PhysicsNeMo
• Experience with multimodal LLM or multi-agent architectures
