About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform electromagnetic analysis, modeling, and design of electric machines, electromechanical actuators, and sensors for electric and hybrid vehicle propulsion.
  • Conduct testing and validation of motors and sensors to ensure compliance with system requirements.
  • Design and implement features focused on loss minimization and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) reduction.
  • Coordinate technical projects involving electric motors and machines with cross-organizational, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Enforce the technology development process from initial research through to production implementation.
  • Calibrate, test, and validate electric motor requirements while diagnosing and correcting design deficiencies.
  • Stay current with new technologies and academic research trends related to electric motor technologies.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of professional experience (preferred), or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in electromagnetic design.
  • Advanced knowledge of brushless machines, including Permanent Magnet (PM), Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM), and Induction Machines (IM).
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic finite element analysis (FEA), modeling, sizing, and calibration.
  • Experience with the design and analysis of electric machines and sensors specifically for vehicle systems (inverters, battery systems, etc.).
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills, including experience with simulation tools and scripting languages.
  • Background in automotive engineering and chassis systems (steering, braking, suspension, or propulsion).
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
