About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assurance for commercial electronic parts (CEPs) used in high-consequence, high-reliability systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive testing and analysis
- Plan, support, and execute testing activities, including analyzing and documenting test data
- Document engineering and design decisions to preserve testing and associated analysis
- Perform failure analysis and provide SME expertise on assigned components
- Interface with product realization teams, suppliers, and quality engineers
- Support production acceptance activities and coordinate with commercial electronics manufacturers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
- 5+ years of related engineering experience
- Experience with part selection, qualification, and testing
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a highly related field
- Demonstrated experience within a specific CEP commodity area (Passives, Discretes, or Integrated Circuits)
- Experience with test board layout, design, and conducting electrical tests
- Familiarity with military (MIL-SPEC) and industry (JEDEC) standards and test methods
- Proficiency with design and analysis tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB
- Knowledge of reliability assessment methods, including accelerated life testing and robustness validation
- Knowledge of radiation effects in microelectronics and semiconductor devices
