R&D Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Improve the performance of existing products or design new modules involving power electronics, mechanical design, and simulation work
• Study electrical diagrams, nomenclature, CAD routing, pin assignments, and mechanics
• Write product specifications, test plans, compliance matrices, and risk analyses
• Qualify electrical power components and modules and implement test manipulations in the laboratory
• Perform thermal and electrical simulations to validate performance
• Write project progress reports, application notes, and technical papers
• Ensure product designs consider manufacturing needs, including repeatability, cost, testability, and inspection
• Analyze products returned by customers (RMA) for electrical failure and write 8D analysis reports
• Monitor new technologies and ensure the protection of company know-how through patent filing

Requirements

• Bac +5 or equivalent degree in sciences and technologies
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Solid knowledge of analog and power electronics
• Experience with power converter design and testing
• Knowledge of hybrid power module manufacturing methods
• Proficiency in electronic CAD software and standard office tools
• Experience with simulation software such as Comsol, Ansys, Spice, or PLECS
• Fluent oral and written English for global collaboration
