R&D Application Testing Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end testing strategy for the R&D application portfolio, including Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, and Laboratory systems.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Establish testing standards and best practices, ensuring a risk-based approach to functional, regression, and UAT testing.
• Manage the automation roadmap to increase coverage and integrate assets into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with GxP principles and support the creation of validation deliverables and requirement traceability.
• Own the defect management process, including triage, prioritization, and providing visibility on quality risks to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, DevOps, and external vendors to ensure release readiness and system stability.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in application testing or quality engineering.
• Proven experience leading testing across multiple enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation (UI and/or API).
• Experience working within the Life Sciences, Healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.
• Solid understanding of GxP and software validation concepts.
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or ALM.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing Veeva Vault (Clinical, Regulatory, Safety) or similar R&D platforms.
• Exposure to Innovation PPM, LIMS, ELN, or laboratory systems.
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines and working with cloud-based applications.
• Experience coordinating testing efforts with third-party vendors and system integrators.
