Quantum Solutions Lead

Responsibilities

• Technical owner of projects delivered for customers in Japan and the surrounding regions
• Identify key opportunities for collaboration and projects in conjunction with the sales team
• Evaluate the success of projects against their aims, goals, and objectives
• Lead a team of 3-5 researchers in Japan
• Represent QuEra at conferences and events
• Collaborate with the US headquarters in Boston, including an onboarding period in Boston

Requirements

• Ph.D. in applied mathematics, computer science, quantum physics, or equivalent
• Exceptional scientific publication record in quantum algorithm development
• In-depth understanding and relationships with the Japanese quantum ecosystem
• Proven ability to technically lead a team of 3-5 researchers
• Experience with technical project management
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent in English and Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in quantum optimization, machine learning, simulation, or quantum foundations
• Experience running algorithms on quantum devices
• Experience with near-term quantum error correction
• Experience with neutral-atom quantum computing
• Proficiency in Python
