About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of quantum error correction protocols for the silicon spin QSoC technology platform
- Design and modify error correcting codes, logical qubit schemes, and decoding algorithms for large scale silicon spin qubit arrays
- Specify minimal physical qubit requirements to achieve breakeven and guide future qubit topology
- Conduct R&D to improve fault-tolerant quantum computing system efficiency
- Simulate using noise models, QEC codes, and fault-tolerant computations
- Collaborate with Algorithms and Theory teams to develop new codes and implement algorithms
- Develop technical documentation, design specifications, and test plans
- Disseminate research results through internal seminars and international publications
Requirements
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Math, Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- At least 5 years of relevant research experience in quantum error correction
- Comprehensive understanding of fault-tolerant quantum computing, decoding, logical gate design, and lattice surgery
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Proven track record of achievements such as publications, preprints, or public code
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and software teams
