Quantum Algorithm Developer

Responsibilities

• Research and develop modern quantum algorithms, predominantly aimed at quantum chemistry applications
• Simulate and implement quantum chemistry oriented quantum algorithms considering hardware features like noise characteristics, qubit topology, and resource constraints
• Prepare research outputs for publication, conference presentation, and internal technical documentation
• Collaborate with the Hardware team to optimize hardware for algorithms
• Work with the Algorithms team to develop new algorithms
• Maintain awareness of global developments in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and hybrid computation methods
• Participate in internal seminars and cross-functional knowledge exchange

Requirements

• PhD in quantum computation, theoretical/mathematical physics, computer science, quantum chemistry, or similar industry experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in quantum computing
• Track record of publications and effective research collaboration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work at both theoretical and practical levels
• Proficient programming skills, preferably in Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with semiconductor spin-based qubits
• Knowledge of hardware constraints for spin-based qubit systems
• Experience with Quantum Chemistry-related algorithms such as DFT or DMRG
• Knowledge in Quantum materials science and/or condensed matter physics
• Experience with Hamiltonian simulation, Quantum signal processing, or QSVT
