About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates based on project specifications and drawings
- Manage project defined costs including labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle
- Prepare and present regular reports on project costs and financial forecasts
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within projects
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and cost estimating
- Experience in contract administration
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in civils, infrastructure, or construction
- Experience with cost and change control
- Ability to travel to sites across Scotland
