About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead on projects to ensure commercial success and adherence to administration procedures
- Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions and manage payments for specialist subcontracts and suppliers
- Coordinate changes and amendments in accordance with NEC 3/4 Option A & C contracts
- Monitor contract performance regarding program, cost, and key issues through site visits
- Perform contract closeout processes and verify all payments
- Evaluate budget changes, capture cost variances, and collate Defined Cost Records for audits
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports
- Maintain change registers and provide commercial elements for reporting
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial related course
- Experience in Civil or Infrastructure sectors
- Strong commercial awareness with legal and contractual knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Experience with management accounts and data interrogation
- Valid driving licence and CSCS card
- Previous experience in line management
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification MRICS or MCIOB
