About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead on projects to ensure commercial success and adherence to administration procedures
- Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts and manage payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers
- Coordinate changes or amendments in accordance with NEC 3/4 Option A & C contracts
- Monitor and track contract obligations and undertake site visits to administer contracts
- Perform the contract closeout process and resolve outstanding issues
- Evaluate the impact of budget changes and capture cost variances
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports
- Maintain change registers and provide commercial elements for reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial role
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial field
- Membership in an appropriate professional body
- Strong data interrogation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficient bid knowledge and understanding of legal/contractual aspects
- Valid driving license
