Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial lead on projects to ensure commercial success and adherence to administration procedures
• Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts and manage payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers
• Coordinate changes or amendments in accordance with NEC 3/4 Option A & C contracts
• Monitor and track contract obligations and undertake site visits to administer contracts
• Perform the contract closeout process and resolve outstanding issues
• Evaluate the impact of budget changes and capture cost variances
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports
• Maintain change registers and provide commercial elements for reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial role
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial field
• Membership in an appropriate professional body
• Strong data interrogation, communication, and negotiation skills
• Leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels
• Proficient bid knowledge and understanding of legal/contractual aspects
• Valid driving license
