Quantity Surveyor - Piping

Responsibilities

• Support the development of cost control standards, procedures, and policies
• Prepare cost estimates for piping installation including materials, labour, and equipment
• Develop and maintain processes for timely and accurate cost reporting
• Foster relationships with the supply chain, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Provide expertise regarding claims and disputes on construction and consultancy contracts
• Review schedules of rates or Bill of Quantities for pre-tender estimates
• Review monthly valuations, variation orders, and final accounts for packages
• Monitor project costs against budget and produce financial reports and forecasts

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a QS/Cost Management role
• Experience within the Infrastructure, Utilities, or Oil & Gas sectors
• Technical understanding of piping works
• Ability to work with construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications
• Experience delivering technically complex and high-value projects
• Experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment
• Knowledge of cost management principles, methods, and standard measurement techniques
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
