Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of clean, waste-water, and environmental projects
• Handle budget management, including month-end reporting, actuals, and variances
• Perform risk management, reporting, and dispute avoidance
• Provide commercial strategy advice and conduct commercial audits
• Assess compensation events and monthly payment applications
• Review and recommend subcontractor acceptance
• Mentor junior members of the team

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant field
• Experience in cost planning and contract administration
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• Strong IT skills, specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presenting
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to travel to client sites and various office locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered QS (MRICS) or actively working towards chartered status
• Experience working within a cost consultancy or multi-disciplinary environment
• Previous experience in the water, environment, or regulated industries
