Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical- Pipeline)

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity and cost control workflows for mechanical pipeline activities in collaboration with Field Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams
• Identify project risks based on contract documents and schedules to minimize cost and schedule impacts
• Submit fortnightly risk reports and mitigation plans aligned with EPC performance
• Develop strategic plans and advise management on cost-controlled solutions for contractor claims
• Cross-check MTOs with AFC drawings to update procurement needs
• Monitor construction and lifecycle planning, including material scheduling and multidisciplinary coordination
• Manage tie-ins, pre-shutdown, and shutdown activities, including material requisition packages
• Handle field change approvals (FCN, DCN), site variations, and test pack verifications
• Implement Advanced Work Package (AWP) methodology using Installation Work Packages (IWP) and Workface Planning (WFP)
• Reconcile materials released to sub-contractors using MS Excel

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Proven experience with EPC or EPCM projects
• Experience working on ADNOC projects and pipeline-specific projects
• Proficiency in MS Excel for material control
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading alignment sheets and understanding pipeline design
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
