Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for cost management, BOQ preparation, and contract administration for assigned residential and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement cost control strategies to optimize project costs and minimize expenses.
• Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accurate estimations and monitor actual costs against budgets.
• Administer contracts, review and negotiate terms, pricing, and variations in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor performance, manage claims or change orders, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct prequalification, and manage vendor relationships and payments.
• Generate regular reports on project costs, variances, and contract performance for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
• Proven experience within the UAE construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of cost control principles, BOQ preparation, and contract management.
• Proficiency in cost control software, project management tools, and financial analysis software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with TRANSCO or TAQA, with specific approval from TRANSCO preferred.
