Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal commercial reporting and other required project documentation
• Manage valuations and applications for payment in accordance with contracts
• Prepare cost reports to clients with compliant supporting documentation
• Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
• Administer subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisition to final account
• Undertake contract administration, including change management and register maintenance
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and changes
• Assist in cost control, cost mitigation, and cash flow production
• Measure quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement
• Assist in the preparation of project final accounts and draft subcontracts
• Perform monthly safety inspections alongside the site agent

Requirements

• Proven experience within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong commercial background with knowledge of standard forms of contract
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Valid CSCS Card (White or Gold)
• Full Driving Licence
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
