Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial team in managing cost and contract aspects of fit-out projects.
• Assist in preparing initial budget estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions.
• Monitor actual costs against budgets and report variances to the senior team.
• Assist in preparing subcontract and supplier packages and support tender evaluations.
• Prepare interim payment applications to clients and review subcontractor payment applications.
• Identify, document, and negotiate variations and claims with clients and subcontractors.
• Maintain variation logs and follow up on variation order approvals.
• Assist in preparing monthly commercial reports and final accounts for clients and subcontractors.
• Support contract administration, ensuring compliance with obligations and timelines.
• Maintain delay reports and subcontractor contra-charge reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4-8 years of experience in estimation within the fit-out or construction industry.
• Proven experience in hospitality, retail, or corporate interior projects within the UAE/GCC.
• Proficiency in estimation tools such as PlanSwift, CCS Candy, or Excel.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, tendering, and variation management.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC and local contract forms.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with external stakeholders.
