Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Production of cost estimates at concept, scheme and detailed design stage
• Manage the tender process, review and analyze tender returns and prepare a recommendation to the Project Manager
• Work on shop drawings for the project and review the details under the supervision of the PM
• Evaluate Subcontractor/Contractor shop drawings against the approved drawings
• Act as primary project cost controller to ensure projects remain on budget
• Liaise with the contract admin team for handover of pre-contract documentation
• Assess and value progress payments and change requests
• Review and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data
• Prepare, review, and update cash-flows
• Estimate variation orders for Subcontractors/Contractors
• Review and evaluate payment certificates for Subcontractors/Contractor
• Evaluate and negotiate variations, change orders, and final accounts settlements

Requirements

• 5 - 8 years of experience with large scale projects
• Considerable knowledge of cost management principles and practices
• Knowledge of standard procurement practices
• University degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat XI Professional
• Strong leadership and communication skills
