Quantity Surveying Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as a Centre of Excellence providing expert support to project delivery teams in all aspects of quantity surveying, measurement, and pricing
• Ensure quantity surveying services adhere to established standards and align with international industry best practices
• Serve as the key escalation point for complex technical quantity surveying issues
• Provide functional oversight and guidance to in-house Quantity Surveyors, specifically those specializing in Furniture and Equipment (F&E)
• Review and approve cost submissions from Project Management Consultants (PMC) and outsourced consultants
• Assess and approve costing for value engineering proposals to optimize project costs
• Provide technical approval on contract variations related to measurement and cost in coordination with Administration & Procurement teams
• Approve interim payment certificates, ensuring compliance and coordination with A&P

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying within engineering and construction environments
• Expertise in project management and quality control
• Proficiency in risk, opportunity, and issue management
• Strong experience in procurement and contract management
• Competency in budgeting, cost control, financial planning, and forecasting
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
