About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, calibrate, and enhance quantitative models to optimize the usage of financial resources, including balance sheet, capital, funding, and liquidity.
  • Drive complex data analysis workstreams to identify key drivers of financial resource consumption and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Design and deliver scalable modelling and analytics frameworks for treasury and resource optimization applications.
  • Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to scale analytical frameworks and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Champion innovation and the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the global investment bank.

Requirements

  • Experience in a quantitative or modelling role within the finance industry.
  • Strong quantitative, modelling, and problem-solving skills applied to complex financial optimization problems.
  • Markets experience with a solid understanding of financial products, trading concepts, and the investment banking landscape.
  • Proficiency in programming, specifically with Python and/or Java, for developing production-grade systems.
  • Solid software engineering and algorithm design skills with a commitment to code quality and testing.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and advise stakeholders on complex technical topics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in applying modelling to financial products and resource optimization.
  • Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, treasury operations, and financial constraints like capital and liquidity.
