Quantitative Technologist

Responsibilities

• Enhance live trading systems, research infrastructure, and alpha generation through technology innovation
• Cover the night shift in the Chicago office alongside engineers and researchers
• Ensure efficacy of trading machines and translation of research to production
• Manipulate Linux on the fly to identify errors and inefficiencies quickly
• Design solutions for systems, networking, and general architecture challenges
• Push production-level code daily and evolve fully-automated strategies
• Support machine learning research and simulation infrastructure analyzing petabytes of data
• Own starter and independent projects that improve inefficiencies and propose iterations

Requirements

• Python proficiency with deep awareness of language nuances and complex problem solving
• Understanding of data structures, algorithmic complexities, and numerical algorithms
• Knowledge of distributed systems, communication, and systems architecture
• Experience working with large codebases and software architecture
• Track record of delivering and deploying software in production environments
• Persistent drive to improve and adapt based on new data and feedback
• Creative problem solving and probabilistic, data-driven approach to testing ideas
