Quantitative MBS Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and advocacy to identify and implement new initiatives that improve fixed income fund returns and lower costs
• Work independently on quantitative projects to support fixed income investment decision processes and enhance outcomes for the Agency MBS desk
• Investigate machine learning techniques and alternative data sources to introduce innovative methods into investment decision-making
• Create and perform independent analysis to support investment strategies, develop new quantitative measures, and enhance existing models
• Communicate complex quantitative concepts to portfolio management and trading teams to integrate data-driven perspectives into daily market interpretations

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Graduate degree preferred)
• Minimum of three years of related work experience
• Strong technical skillset including coding, analytics, finance, and fixed income products
• Deep knowledge of capital markets and investment concepts; knowledge of Agency MBS is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Highly self-motivated and driven by intellectual curiosity
