About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and productionize ML models, feature pipelines, and inference workflows for Quantitative Investment Science applications
  • Develop semantic matching, ranking, recommendation, and peer-selection systems for funds, managers, and deals
  • Design agentic AI workflows capable of multi-step analysis, tool use, and producing traceable recommendations
  • Create robust evaluation frameworks, including task success metrics, regression suites, and monitoring for AI agents
  • Integrate embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and model-serving APIs into existing investment tools
  • Establish MLOps patterns for experiment tracking, model versioning, deployment, and audit trails
  • Partner with data and platform engineers to ensure ML workflows are repeatable, observable, and secure

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of software development experience, with significant production experience in ML engineering or data-intensive backend systems
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
  • Experience with applied machine learning, including feature engineering, model training, and monitoring
  • Strong SQL skills and experience designing data models for analytical systems
  • Practical experience with LLM-enabled workflows, embeddings, or agentic AI systems
  • Experience building production services, APIs, or scheduled pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerized development, and CI/CD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial data, time series data, or private markets workflows
  • Knowledge of vector databases, agent frameworks, or feature stores
  • Experience with unstructured data processing and model registries
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field
