Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify documentation practices during production, including batch records, data integrity, and lot code accuracy.
• Provide on-floor guidance for GMP product quality assurance and compliance for manufacturing and packaging operations.
• Monitor process controls and control points such as metal detection, label verification, and seal checks.
• Conduct in-house QC testing including FTIR, moisture, density, and microbiological plating.
• Perform pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections of production rooms and equipment.
• Support inspection readiness and participate in regulatory site inspections and internal audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology to impact productivity and quality.
• Maintain strict food safety protocols, including allergen control and critical control point monitoring.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mathematical, scientific, and computer skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of label compliance and scientific principles in a Life Science environment.
• Experience with FSMA documentation and cGMP regulations.
