Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards throughout the production process using NCR and 8D methodologies
• Perform internal audits of daily work activities to identify and correct non-conformances
• Initiate, manage, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with appropriate priority
• Escalate repeated non-conformances or advanced technical problems to QA Engineers
• Ensure quality products pass through all production stations successfully
• Collaborate with engineering, production, safety, and vendors to ensure product compliance
• Support Quality Engineering with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation
• Update customer issue responses within customer portals and NCR systems

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine product conformance
• Experience with data collection and maintaining accurate records
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong problem-solving skills using 8D/NCR methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand, kneel, or bend frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality-related certifications such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
• Experience with calibration or 9-hour Quality Technician training
• Experience as a trained Internal Auditor for ISO standards
