Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards throughout the production process using NCR and 8D methodologies.
• Perform daily internal audits to identify non-conformances in processes requiring correction.
• Initiate, manage, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) based on priority.
• Escalate repeated non-conformances or advanced technical problems to QA Engineers.
• Ensure quality products pass through all production stations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, safety, and vendors to ensure product compliance.
• Support Quality Engineering with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Update customer issue responses within customer portals and NCR systems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine product conformance.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability using 8D and NCR methodologies.
• Experience with data collection and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality-related certifications such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Experience with calibration or specialized Quality Technician training.
• Experience as a trained Internal Auditor for ISO standards.
