Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and measured inspections of products to ensure conformance with industry standards and company policies
• Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors
• Inspect incoming materials, plates, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process
• Apply quality processes and tools in accordance with AAR and FRA guidelines
• Conduct nondestructive examinations and qualitative/quantitative analysis of manufacturing or repair defects
• Maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment
• Conduct routine Quality Program compliance audits under supervision
• Follow all safety rules and practices and participate in safety initiatives as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency with various inspection tools and measuring equipment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
