About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and measured inspections of products to ensure conformance with industry standards and company policies
- Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors
- Inspect incoming materials, plates, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process
- Apply quality processes and tools in accordance with AAR and FRA guidelines
- Conduct nondestructive examinations and qualitative/quantitative analysis of manufacturing or repair defects
- Maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment
- Conduct routine Quality Program compliance audits under supervision
- Follow all safety rules and practices and participate in safety initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with various inspection tools and measuring equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
