Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Support first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements
• Identify and resolve nonconforming materials and assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action (CAPA) implementation
• Inspect incoming materials and verify supplier documentation and traceability

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Manufacturing preferred
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace, defense, automotive, or high-tech environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality management systems
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in manufacturing or cleanroom environments
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, launch vehicle, satellite, or avionics environments
• Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, or ISO 9001 standards
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and inspection software
• Knowledge of root cause analysis tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagrams
• Experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
