Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to verify dimensional conformance
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications
• Set up and use precision measurement equipment including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
• Conduct hardness, tensile, and torque testing in accordance with applicable standards
• Perform floor audits and maintain accurate quality records and history cards
• Administer disposition of nonconforming material and generate Repair Shop Orders
• Evaluate incoming material certifications and maintain records in the ERP system
• Conduct routine calibration of gages and measuring instruments per schedule

Requirements

• 2–4 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and special gaging
• Basic computer proficiency and ERP experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PPAP and statistical tools
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) concepts
