Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to verify dimensional conformance
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
• Conduct floor audits and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with control plans and work instructions
• Perform hardness, tensile, and torque testing, as well as grain flow testing and metallurgical evaluations
• Administer the disposition of nonconforming material and generate Repair Shop Orders
• Evaluate incoming material certifications for compliance and maintain records in the ERP system
• Conduct routine calibration of gages and measuring instruments per the established schedule
• Complete PPAP documentation and perform gage R&R and capability studies

Requirements

• 2–4 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and special gaging
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PPAP and statistical process control (SPC) tools
• Experience with metallurgical testing and evaluation
