About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform First Article inspections and product testing for components and assemblies to ensure compliance with design standards.
- Conduct product qualification testing on raw materials and parts from non-qualified suppliers.
- Support product development by evaluating new products against performance requirements and design objectives.
- Manage the control and segregation of non-conforming materials and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and collaborate with vendors to implement process improvements.
- Manage the calibration of test equipment and perform routine process audits.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and service departments to investigate quality issues and establish standards.
- Maintain and update quality records in accordance with established manufacturing practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree in science, math, engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, including First Article and qualification testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis tools for data capture and reporting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, mathematical concepts, and diagrams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as boat loading/unloading and on-water testing in various weather conditions.
