About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of cases prior to shipment to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Perform inspections on refrigeration components and in-process measurements before final assembly
- Record and enter all production issues and defects into the company database
- Create and maintain quality charts, including Pareto and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Conduct process audits to ensure production methods, machinery, and raw materials meet standards
- Oversee the calibration of inspection and test equipment to meet ISO 17025 requirements
- Educate the production team on quality control issues and collaborate with managers to improve product quality
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings
- One (1) year of experience in a relevant quality role (e.g., Quality Inspector or Technician)
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, Inficon leak testers, Hipot stand testers, and PosiTest-paint thickness gauges
- Basic understanding of raw materials and manufacturing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
