Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of machined metal parts and completed assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct in-process and internal audits and participate in the validation of inspection fixtures and methods.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications for mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Inspect parts with precision tolerance dimensions and irregular surfaces using precision measuring instruments.
• Support manufacturing engineers, managers, and operators with customer and supplier quality issues.
• Calibrate and maintain gauges and test machines to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
• Maintain safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and company health and safety expectations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection of machined or composite parts.
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to safely perform physical demands, including lifting up to 40lbs.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality Certification or Six Sigma accreditation.
• Two-year degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or mechanical field.
