About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect product during the extrusion process and compare against customer specifications
- Perform daily line audits to proactively identify defects and assist with root cause corrective actions
- Inspect, test, and tag finished products to ensure they meet acceptable tolerances
- Test incoming raw materials and maintain accurate quality records
- Operate diagnostic equipment including micrometers, pi tapes, and calipers
- Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required and complete necessary paperwork for quality transactions
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area while following all company safety guidelines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in quality or inspection procedures
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods on a plant floor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Bilingual communication skills
